The Take Up Champions

The Take Up Champions programme invites local people to take part in a 12 week programme which presents information on benefits, support, services and resources for older people.

It is a twelve-session programme, which enables local people to support each other and provides people with relevant information to   help older people in their community.  The aim is to increases the take up of benefits and services by older people and generally improve their quality of life.

By the end of the programme we hope that the participants feel more confident when approaching organisations who can provide support and financial assistance for the older people in their communities.

The programme is open to anyone 18 or over (and other people affected   by older people's issues such as carers), living in Bradford, Beswick, Clayton, Openshaw, Gorton, Ancoats, Miles Platting and Newton Heath.
